How big was Kai Cenat in 2024? He got more watch time than the next two most-watched streamers combined

An end-of-year report has put Kai Cenat‘s streaming prowess into perspective, and it turns out that the Twitch star is in the midst of an unprecedented run of dominance. Streams Charts published a ranking of the most-watched streamers of 2024, and Cenat was #1 by a massive margin, generating more than twice as much watch time as the #2 finisher.

Across Twitch and Rumble (where Cenat co-hosts a show alongside iShowSpeed), the 23-year-old Bronx native has racked up 184.5 million hours of watch time throughout the year-to-date. Second place went to Jynxzi, the Rainbow Six Siege streamer who came out of nowhere to become a major star, while longtime Twitch stalwart xQc ranked third. Jynxzi and xQc combined to accumulate more than 152 million hours of watch time. Even when their thriving channels are put together, they can’t hold a candle to Cenat’s awe-inspiring watch time.

Cenat’s 30-day event Mafiathon II shattered records in November, but he achieved his eye-popping stats through a year-long effort, not just a single month of fun and games. He ventured into gaming with a ballyhooed Elden Ring marathon, attracted guest stars like Kevin Hart, and worked with a wide-ranging roster of brand partners, including Nike, McDonald’s, and the NBA.

His status as the streaming king is unlikely to expire in 2025. As his YouTube channel grows

and he produces ambitious live events, he’s set up to continue diversifying his creator portfolio while he dominates the Twitch game.

The rest of the list includes some election-year storylines

The Streams Charts ranking demonstrates the rising influence of streamers who have ventured into the world of political commentary. Left-wing firebrand Hasan Piker and controversial lightning rod Asmongold, both of whom were involved in political drama in the lead-up to the election, made it into the top ten. Piker reached fifth place with 67.2 million hours of watch time, while Asmongold’s zackrawrr channel was right behind him in sixth (with 58.1 million hours of watch time).

The end of election season has not stripped these political streamers of their influence. The Streams Charts report noted that several personalities could still rise into the top ten before the end of the year. One member of that group is conservative pundit Dan Bongino, who has been one of the breakout stars on the right-leaning platform Rumble.

As for the other person on the bubble? It’s Cenat’s buddy iShowSpeed. Even beyond his own account, Cenat’s impact on the streaming world is immense.
