Creators have a new way to sell ad space within their videos. Arthur Leopold and Jonathan Meyers have co-founded Agentio, a matchmaking platform that has raised $4.25 million of seed funding.

Agentio’s flagship platform is live in beta. Influencers like Cody Ko and Nick DiGiovanni have already used Agentio to sell ad space on their videos. The platform simplifies connections between sponsored creators and their partners by easily scaling up an ad-buying process that is otherwise time-consuming and labor-intensive.

Both of Agentio’s Co-Founders have extensive experience in advertising and marketing. Leopold was Cameo‘s first hire. As the President of the celebrity shoutout platform, he helped grow it into a multi-million-dollar enterprise. Meyers comes to Agentio after a stint at Spotify, where he led an Automated Content Marketing team that implemented AI-driven solutions.

With Agentio, Leopold and Meyers hope to make the ad reading process as simple as the purchase of Facebook or Google ads. “Marketers need a performant and scalable ad channel more than ever, and we’re unlocking humanized and authentic content, in a programmatic way through our first-of-its-kind technology,” Leopold said in a statement. “We’re thrilled to partner with leading VCs, marketers, and creators to finally scale this ad unit and drive real, measurable business outcomes through underserved and undervalued attention on YouTube.”

AlleyCorp and Craft Ventures led Agentio’s $4.25 million seed round. The funding burst included participation from Cameo Co-Founder Steven Galanis as well as creators like Ko.

With their seed round secure, Leopold and Meyers are introducing Agentio into a busy influencer marketing industry. Other companies in the creator economy, such as Pearpop, StreamElements, and JoinBrands, also play the matchmaker between creators and brands. Agentio is looking to put its own spin on that formula by initially focusing on a specific format (30-second ad reads) and prioritizing efficiency for its users.

Agentio is based in New York. More details about the company are available via TechCrunch.
