100 Thieves is launching a “Spotlight Series” to celebrate female creators

At the conclusion of Women’s History Month, 100 Thieves announced an initiative that will highlight female members of the streaming community. The gaming and esports organization has announced a Spotlight Series that will include original content, a “collaborative platform,” and other initiatives that will put female creators front and center.

100 Thieves announced the Spotlight Series through a Twitter thread. The organization described its new program as an attempt to “amplify the voices” of female creators, who often have a tough time getting the same level of exposure as their male colleagues.

To give those individuals their due, 100 Thieves will showcase the channels of up-and-coming streamers. Women who are selected for the Spotlight Series will also receive fresh headshots, new peripherals, priority access to 100 Thieves apparel, and airfare to Los Angeles, where the featured creators will have a chance to visit the 100 Thieves compound.

More details about the Spotlight Series can be found on the 100 Thieves website. A landing page invites eligible creators to apply for the Spotlight Series. “The 100 Thieves Spotlight Series aims to amplify the content and voices of emerging women creators,” the page reads. “Over the next year, we will feature creators through this collaborative platform, shine a light on their work and integrate them into our world.”

That page depicts a few of the prominent female creators who are part of the 100 Thieves talent roster, including the company’s co-owner Valkyrae and her longtime collaborator Fuslie. As the gaming firm has encountered difficulties in its esports division, it has continued to highlight the content side of its operation. It has produced large-scale videos featuring its members, and the creators featured in the Spotlight Series will be offered “content opportunities” within the organization.

100 Thieves was founded in 2017. Beyond Valkyrae, its other creator-owners include top streaming personalities like Nadeshot and CouRage.
