Top execs from Patreon, Twitch, and Night Media are part of LinkedIn’s next Creator Accelerator

Last year, LinkedIn launched its first Creator Accelerator as part of a $25 million investment in its community. Now, that program’s second class has been announced, and it includes some online video luminaries.

Jim Louderback, who previously served as the CEO of VidCon and the Revision3 network, will take part in the initiative. He’ll be joined by Night Media CEO Reed Duchscher, Mashable founder Pete Cashmore, Twitch Head of Games Bill Young, and Avi Gandhi, who took over as Patreon’s Head of Creator Partnerships last year.

In total, 120 creators will benefit from LinkedIn’s support through the Creator Accelerator’s workshops, meetings, and sessions. That’s an increase from the 100 creators who made up the program’s initial cohort. Those inaugural Creator Accelerator participants have used the tutelage they receive to expand their presence on LinkedIn. Jonathan Javier, who spoke to us about his approach to the professional platform earlier this year, was part of that first class.

In a blog post, LinkedIn Senior Director Rodrigo Brancatelli highlighted a few members of the second cohort who are finding their own ways to reshape conversations on LinkedIn. “The program includes creators like aerospace creator Camille Elizabeth, who shares insights and highlights into aerospace technology; Alexandria Butler, founder of Sista Circle: Black Women in Tech; Founding Managing Partner of MFV Partners and early stage Deep Tech VC Karthee MadasamyJessica Lopez, who’s focusing on enablement technology and improving accessibility; creator economy pioneer Jim Louderback, and longtime podcaster Andy Wang,” Brancatelli wrote.

Some of the better-known members of the Creator Accelerator cohort have other ties to LinkedIn. Louderback, for example, uses the platform to gather subscribers for his newsletter, titled Inside the Creator Economy. Duchscher’s most famous client, Jimmy ‘MrBeast’ Donaldson, is one of LinkedIn’s celebrity users.

The Creator Accelerator is slated to run for six weeks. Some participants, such as Cashmore, have already started sharing the results of the program on their personal pages.
