Gamer gear brand HyperX has selected 25 up-and-coming streamers who are “Queued Up” for success

HyperX, the division of HP known for its gaming gear, has made numerous efforts to reach out to the streaming community. One such overture is Queued Up, a creator showcase that first launched last year. The 25 finalists for the 2022 Queued Up class have been announced, and HyperX is now asking the voting public to elect five winners from among that group.

The five Queued Up champions will gain access to a number of perks, including 12-month contracts with HyperX, opportunities to collaborate with the brand, and access to scaling tools. Last year, HyperX hyped up its inaugural Queued Up winners by featuring them in a snazzy intro

. Then it offered viewers a behind-the-scenes look at the production of that video.

“With the growing number of up-and-coming content creators, we look forward to showcasing another group of talented individuals with Queued Up in 2022,” said HyperX Social Media and Brand Content Manager Kerry Hoang in a statement. “HyperX’s goal is to empower and support the next generation of talent by providing products and tools to help grow their social channels and enable them to elevate their brand and feel empowered as content creators.”

As Hoang said, Queued Up is designed to highlight streamers who are “up-and-coming,” but some of the 2022 finalists already have established audiences. I recognized Bloody‘s name from her Magic the Gathering streams, and Storymodebae popped onto our radar last year when she signed with talent management company Loaded. For the average Twitch or YouTube Gaming viewer, however, many of the Queued Up contestants are unknowns.

It takes more than name recognition to win this contest: To take advantage of HyperX’s rewards, the featured creators need to receive enough votes to land in the top five. Voting will remain open through October 7, so there’s plenty of time for fans to campaign for their favorite Queued Up contenders. The five winners will be announced on October 21, when they will be feted during a HyperX stream.

The name of the showcase is derived from the gaming world (of course). Players who enter the lobby of a competitive game in search of a match are said to be “queuing up.”
