The newest manager who will join the Underscore Talent team is bringing some notable clients with her. Samantha Schoenberg, who spent more than five years at big-name Beverly Hills firm UTA, has moved to the talent management company led by former Studio71 co-founders Reza Izad, Michael Green, and Dan Weinstein.
At Underscore, Schoenberg will work alongside a roster that includes several popular TikTokers. She has brought two of her former clients to Underscore with her: She will manage the budget-conscious fashion creator Mei Mei Deuanxayasane (AKA MeiMonstaa) as well as body-positive family creator Maleah Whitten. Steven Rivera, a comedian who has attracted six million followers to his Kodasteven account, is a new signee for Schoenberg.
Schoenberg became a UTA agent shortly after joining the company and played an instrumental role in the development of the agency’s digital division. She helped launch the Ramble network, through which several top influencers have launched and monetized their own podcasts. In another memorable deal, she worked with plus-size model Remi Bader to secure a brand partnership with Victoria’s Secret.
In an email, Izad cited Schoenberg’s ability to build “long-term partnerships with top brands and retailers” and the “personalized and scalable 360° management experience” she provides as qualities that made her an “organic fit” at Underscore. Schoenberg also heaped plenty of praise upon her new coworkers. “In such a short time, Underscore Talent has assembled a talented group of managers and an impressively diverse roster of creators in a multitude of categories,” she said. “I have been inspired to see their astronomical growth and am excited to join the team.”
The growth Schoenberg speaks of has accelerated over the past few months. In June, Underscore announced pacts with makeup artist Tati Westbrook and gamer JustaMinx among a slew of new signings. Then, in August, the firm brought out former YouTube exec Abe Santos to lead a new outdoor division.
In total, Underscore represents more than 200 creators.
