Last year, OnlyFans awarded $20,000 each to four musicians based in the U.K. The financial support came through the subscription platform’s Creator Fund, which is now coming stateside. OnlyFans has recruited some notable names in the style world to serve as judges and mentors for the “fashion edition” of its Creator Fund, which will dole out a total of $100,000 to three winners.
For OnlyFans, the latest chapter in the Creator Fund is an opportunity to support rising talent and a chance to show the world that its library contains much more than the explicit content it’s known for. The three judges tapped for the contest — stylist Law Roach, designer Maeve Reilly, and celebrity makeup artist Sir John — are all established names in the fashion world. The three winners who receive financial prizes will also receive mentorship from Rebecca Minkoff, known for her eponymous designer handbags.
“The OnlyFans Creative Fund is a great opportunity for those looking to jump into a fashion-related career,” Reilly said in a statement. “It gives contestants an opportunity to showcase their work and get advice from people that they might not be able to reach otherwise, like Law, Sir John and me. I’m excited to see what the finalists bring to the table!”
The first-place winner will earn $50,000 to put toward their career, while the two runners-up will each snag $25,000. Entrants can submit up to five designs or looks until the contest closes on March 21st.
Six finalists will be flown out to L.A., and from there, the Creator Fund will turn into a piece of content. The final stages of the contest, including the judges’ evaluations of the submissions, will be streamed on OFTV, OnlyFans’ free streaming service. That platform launched last year, a few months before Ami Gan took over for OnlyFans founder Tim Stokley as the company’s CEO.
