The D’Amelio family’s next brand partnership is working out

Since bursting onto the TikTok scene in 2019, Charli and Dixie D’Amelio have used their social stardom to sell everything from coffee to mattresses to orthodontia.

Now, along with their parents Heidi and Marc, the D’Amelio sisters are coming to a platform that will leave them out of breath. They are the latest influencers to team up with FitOn, an at-home fitness app that offers classes led by celebrities.

Charli D’Amelio, who leads her family in terms of followers and social media earnings, got her start on TikTok by uploading dance routines. That makes her an ideal ambassador for a brand based around aerobic exercise.

The D’Amelios will join FitOn instructors for a number of routines, including full-body workouts and meditations. Their family physician, Dr. Greene, will also join them on the app to promote a healthy lifestyle.

Sweating with the stars

Thanks in part to COVID-19 quarantines and shelter-in-place orders, the at-home fitness industry has advanced. The result, as we head into our new era of hybrid work, is a glut of workout apps that are jockeying for users. FitOn, founded in 2018, sells itself as an affordable choice (its app is free) with a large collection of cardio workouts, strength routines, pilates classes, and more.

FitOn has also connected with numerous celebrities. Actress Gabrielle Union, Queer Eye star Jonathan Van Ness, and Cassey Ho of the Blogilates YouTube channel are three other media personalities who have hosted videos on the app.

The D’Amelios are the latest (and, among TikTok fans, greatest) influencers to lead exercise routines for the FitOn community, and this partnership launches at a crucial time for the brand. FitOn just announced a $40 million Series C round, through which it will further its goal of democratizing workouts.

FitOn will surely receive an influx of new customers once Charli and Dixie’s fans discover this new venture. For now, the app claims to have 10 million total members.
