Moonbug has acquired The Little Angel Network, a YouTube network that comprises two massive children’s channels: Little Angel and Little World.
The acquisition marks the first since Moonbug itself was acquired by Kevin Mayer and Tom Staggs-led Candle Media late last year for a reported $3 billion. The terms of the Little Angel deal were not disclosed.
Moonbug, which owns massive children’s franchises like CoComelon and Blippi, will work to expand Little Angel’s viewership and create new avenues of fan engagement, it said.
Currently, Little Angel and Little World count 88 million subscribers and drive 1.5 billion monthly views. Their 3D Content is distributed in 19 languages, and its library has amassed over 400 original songs and 500 animated episodes to date.
“There continues to be a tremendous demand for great value-based kids’ content that connects with a global audience,” stated Renè Rechtman, Moonbug Entertainment co-founder and CEO, ”and this acquisition represents an important opportunity for us to build another global entertainment franchise.”
