Twitch has named noted digital media executive Kendra Desrosiers global head of strategic programs and culture.
In this role, Desrosiers will advocate for underrepresented creators and develop programs to celebrate their voices, Twitch said. She will also oversee corporate initiatives focused on social impact and work to strengthen Twitch’s relationships with colleges and universities.
Desrosiers will report to Twitch’s VP of global creators, Constance Knight.
“As Twitch has grown, our creator community has become increasingly diverse,” the company said, “and we recognized a need for a more bespoke approach to ensure all creators can thrive on our service.”
Prior to joining Twitch, Desrosiers was at Meta (formerly Facebook) for roughly three years, where she drove media partnerships marketing strategy. And before that, she spent six years at YouTube as head of creator marketing programs, where she launched the platform’s first-ever diversity creator marketing initiative.
