TikTok creator Dylan Lemay, beloved for his ice cream content, is opening up shop.
Lemay, who counts 10.8 million followers on the micro-video platform, has raised $1.5 million in venture funding to launch his own experiential ice cream store in downtown New York City, which is slated to bow next spring. The shop will be dubbed Catch’N ice Cream — a reference to Lemay’s ice cream scoop-tossing skills — as will ensuing consumer products.
The funding was led by author and investor Chris Camilo, with participation from fellow creators Joanne Molinaro (The Korean Vegan), Milad Mirg, and dental creator Anthony Baroud.
While little is known about the experiential aspects of the venture, there will be digital components, regular flavor collaborations with creators and celebs, and potential delivery options. Lemay, for his part, rose to renown for his overhead videos that show him concocting ice cream delicacies. Lemay, who hails from Detroit, worked at Cold Stone Creamery
for nearly eight years before becoming a full-time content creator last year.Lemay says he is the largest ice-cream focused creator in the world, and the No. 1 food and beverage creator on TikTok. He has also amassed 2,6 million followers on YouTube after launching his channel 10 months ago, which compromises re-purposed TikTok clips.
