TimTheTatman Joins Esports Org ‘Complexity Gaming’

Beloved gamer Tim ‘TimTheTatman’ Betar has joined Complexity Gaming. Complexity is co-owned by Jerry Jones, owner of the Dallas Cowboys — Betar’s favorite football team.

The pact will see Betar partnering with Complexity on ad campaigns, personal appearances, and co-branded merch capsules. Complexity said the move signals its push beyond the competitive esports space into doing business with top gaming creators. Dexerto notes that the deal will also see Betar becoming a co-owner of Complexity.

Betar counts more than 18 million followers across all of his social channels, and last month signed a deal to bring his streams exclusively from Twitch to YouTube.

Complexity, for its part, is a subsidiary of Toronto-headquartered GameSquare Esports. Founded by CEO Jason Lake (pictured above with Betar), its teams have won more than 140 championships in nearly 30 titles over 15 years. In addition to Complexity, GameSquare owns U.K. esports talent agency Code Red Esports

, global esports company Reciprocity, and gaming lifestyle marketing agency Swingman.

“The connection with the Dallas Cowboys and the support of Jerry Jones is outstanding,” Betar said in a statement. “I’m a lifelong Cowboys fan so this is a special opportunity within esports.”

“[TimTheTatMan] is incredibly talented and brings immediate credibility with fans and brands,“ added GameSquare CEO Justin Kenna. “With more than 18 million followers, TimTheTatman has immediately enhanced Complexity’s audience and engagement. This positions Complexity as one of the leading streaming organizations on the planet and a top-tier competitive team.”
