Leading gaming org 100 Thieves — which is known for its competitive teams, starry creator roster, and streetwear-inspired clothing brand — has bestowed ownership stakes to two of its key members: Rachel ‘Valkyrae’ Hofstetter and Jack ‘CouRage’ Dunlop.
100 Thieves said the move means to reflect its ethos of being “built by creators, for creators.” Hofstetter and Dunlop join the company’s existing ownership circle, which includes founder and CEO Matthew ‘Nadeshot’ Haag, Drake, Scooter Braun, and Cleveland Cavaliers owner Dan Gilbert.
Going forward, Hofstetter — who was the first female creator to join 100 Thieves — and Dunlop will be more involved with the company’s broader business strategy, talent acquisitions, and other initiatives as they continue to furnish the content that fans know and love them for, 100 Thieves said.
“As a streamer and former pro-player myself, I always wanted 100 Thieves to be an organization guided by and built to be a platform for content creators,” Haag said in a statement. “Rae and Jack have been with us since 2018 and 2019, respectively, and are significant contributors to 100 Thieves.”
Hofstetter, for her part, counts 3.3 million YouTube subscribers, and most recently won the ‘Content Creator Of The Year’ at the 2020 Game Awards. Dunlop also counts 3.3 million YouTube subscribers, where he — like Hofsttetter — operates an exclusive streaming deal with YouTube Gaming.
