YouTube’s Latest Original Is A Charitable ‘Secret Santa’ Exchange With AsapSCIENCE, Molly Burke, More

YouTube’s brand new holiday original is one giant ‘Secret Santa’ gift exchange — with myriad charity tie-ins and the involvement of 12 of the platform’s most beloved channels.

Premiering today, with all 12 episodes live now, The Great Gift Exchange will see creators partake in a giving chain — with each installment benefiting a charity of their choosing, all while paying it forward to the next creator on the chain. The series is hosted by gift wrap artist Alton DuLaney, who will educate viewers on the art of gift wrapping while wrapping each charitable donation in a creative manner that’s bespoke to each creator’s personal brand.

Participants in The Great Gift Exchange — who count a combined 78 million subscribers — include: AsapSCIENCE (Rainbow Railroad), Molly Burke (Mira Foundation), Shalom Blac (St. Jude), Rosanna Pansino (Feeding America), Physics Girl (The Malala Fund), Alex Wassabi (Make-A-Wish Foundation), Kristopher London (The Bail Project), Ambers Closet (Lunch on Me), Jennelle Eliana (Covenant House), Smosh Games (Okra Project), MatPat (No Kid Hungry), and Kurt Hugo Schneider (Bat Conservation).
