Top Twitch Streamer Pokimane Joins Markiplier And Jacksepticeye’s ‘Cloak’ Brand As Partner, Creative Director

Top Twitch streamer Pokimane has joined Markiplier and Jacksepticeye’s clothing brand, Cloak, as partner and creative director.

“The gaming community is an incredibly engaged audience, one that has been underrepresented in the fashion industry,” Pokimane–aka Imane Anys–said in a statement. “I’m looking forward to working with the team and creating innovative apparel, products, and content that everyone can relate to no matter who they are.”

Imane recently hit five million followers on Twitch–a figure that makes her the platform’s sixth most-followed streamer. (Notably, she’s one of the partners Twitch moved to lock in post-Ninja with a multiyear livestreaming deal.) She also has 5.31 million subscribers on YouTube. Across both platforms, she posts lifestyle and gaming content, focusing on titles like Fortnite and League of Legends.

As Cloak’s new creative director, Anys will “leverage her vast experience within the gaming community to help drive the company forward, while furthering her personal passion to bring gamers of all ages, genders, races, and backgrounds together,” the company said in a statement. She’ll specifically work to develop and roll out new products, create Cloak-branded social digital content, and will help lead marketing campaigns.

In a joint statement, Markiplier (Mark Fischbach) and Jacksepticeye (Seán McLoughlin) said they are “so excited to have one of the biggest female gamers join the Cloak family and expand our brand mission to new audiences.”

The duo, along with Sunlight Holdings president Ben Curtis, launched Cloak in 2018. Since then, the brand has put out a number of collections, including an official Five Nights at Freddy’s set and an extensive Minecraft line.

Anys’ joining isn’t the only announcement from Cloak today: It also unveiled its 2020 Pride collection, Living Colour. The capsule, which is live now, offers a rainbow range of hats, face masks, bags, T-shirts, sweatpants, and tie-dye versions of the brand’s signature cloak. 10% of sales from the collection will be donated to The Trevor Project.
