Abrams Artists Agency is expanding its digital talent division to the U.K.
The agency has onboarded Jody Flanagan as U.K. talent director and Amy Newman as U.K. talent manager; both will operate out of Abrams’ newly opened London office–its very first international headquarters.
“Having a team in Europe, an underserved market, creates additional opportunities for our incredible roster of existing clients, and also gives new clients in Europe access to the premier agency for digital talent,” Brian Cho, Abrams’ president, said in a statement.
Flanagan joins Abrams from now-shuttered multichannel network Stylehaul, where she was vice president of U.K. talent. In that role, she primarily negotiated brand, book, and merch deals for Stylehaul’s stable of creators and influencers. Newman, who’s been in talent management for eight years, also worked for Stylehaul, as well as YM&U Group and Margravine Management.
Flanagan and Newman will report to Alec Shankman, Abrams’ co-managing partner.
Abrams has been rapidly expanding its digital network since 2017, hiring agents with digital and esports expertise and launching Abrams Digital Network, a venture with multichannel network Bent Pixels that is meant to help digital creators grow their channels and increase revenues. This year, the agency has signed a number of notable digital creators, including YouTube OG Andrea Russett, streamer/former SourceFed contributor Meg Turney, nerdy sketch-and-musical channel The Warp Zone, and FaZe Clan’s first female member, deaf Fortnite streamer Ewok.
