Mindy McKnight To Launch ‘Hairitage’ Hair Care Brand At 4,400 Walmart Doors

After two years in the making, YouTube hair goddess Mindy McKnight — proprietor of the Cute Girls Hairstyles channel, with 5.6 million subscribers — has launched her own hair care line, aptly dubbed Hairitage.

The collection, like McKnight’s YouTube channel, was inspired by the styling techniques she perfected on her five daughters, and also aims to be inclusive of all hair types, according to People.

Hairitage is currently available on Walmart‘s website, with orders slated to arrive by Jan. 14. It will roll out to 4,400 stores nationwide by month’s end. All 16 products are priced at $7.94, including shampoos, conditioner, leave-in conditioner, styling products, a hair mask, a hair rinse, and a hair oil. All of the products are color-safe, vegan, cruelty-free, and free of harmful ingredients like sulfates, parabens, silicones, and mineral oil. The bottles are color-coded to reflect their different use cases — be it cleanse, condition, moisturize, restore, or style. Each bottle is also adorned with the brand’s logo, a tree that is made up of her family’s initials.

“We all have very visceral reactions to hair stories,” McKnight told People. “We all have these moments where we can think of our moms doing our hair, whether it was a bad perm when we were teenagers, a bad haircut, or we went to prom and loved our updo. We have all these touch points to our hair. Hair for me tells a lot about a culture.”

McKnight isn’t the only member of her family to headline a massive YouTube channel. Twin daughters Brooklyn and Bailey McKnight have amassed 6.6 million subscribers on their joint channel — and have also dipped their toes into releasing their own beauty products. And younger daughter Kamri Noel counts 2 million subscribers. McKnight is also mom to 14-year-old Rylan, 11-year-old Daxton, and eight-year-old Paisley.
