Corinna Kopf Signs Exclusive Deal With Facebook Gaming Amid Issues At Twitch

Facebook has made its latest play in the gaming space — following its first major exclusive creator signing of Jeremy ‘Disguised Toast’ Wang in November. The social network announced today an exclusive streaming deal with Corinna Kopf — a vlogger and Instagram star who is also a member of David Dobrik’s massively popular Vlog Squad.

Over the last year, however, Kopf — who previously focused on lifestyle content — has increasingly made gaming a centerpiece of her content output. More recently, Kopf has been vocal about her issues at Twitch, after being banned for wearing undergarments on-stream

(which is against the platform’s terms of service) — and then subsequently unbanned, per Dexerto. Accordingly, Kopf has hinted that a departure from Twitch, where she counts 413,000 followers, was imminent. (Kopf also counts 1.6 million YouTube subscribers, where she tends to steer clear of gaming and 3.5 million Instagram followers).

Kopf’s inaugural Facebook Gaming stream will be hosted at 7 pm ET on Dec. 30 on her new landing page,

“As a female gamer, it’s so important for me to find a home that not only empowers myself, but also my community, to make a positive impact in the gaming world,” Kopf said in a statement. “My biggest goal for 2020 has been expanding my gaming career as a streamer and that’s why I am so excited to be partnering with Facebook Gaming because they are giving me the support and tools to help take it to the next level.”

In addition to Wang and Kopf, Facebook Gaming — which launched in Jan. 2018 — has signed exclusive deals with Gonzalo ‘ZeRo’ Barrios in the U.S. as well as Spanish-speaking gamers NexxuzHD and Lolito FDEZ. The company says that 700 million users engage with gaming content on Facebook each month — 40% of whom are women. The company also operates a standalone Gaming app that is only available on Android devices in the Philippines, Thailand, Brazil, Mexico, Argentina, Bolivia, Chile, Colombia, Dominican Republic, Ecuador, and Peru.

The Facebook Gaming platform is also charity-focused, having launched new fundraising tools for gaming creators ahead of Giving Tuesday, according to Facebook.
