MrBeast Drops Trailer For Finale Of ‘Last To’ Series, With $1 Million Grand Prize

MrBeast, the uber-generous YouTube star — and Streamy ‘Breakout Creator’ winner — whose real name is Jimmy Donaldson, has released the trailer for his latest video, which may be one of his biggest stunts to date.

The clip, dropping on Thursday at 4 pm ET, boasts a familiar — yet compelling — premise: Donaldson has placed $1 million in single dollar bills inside of a large glass case. Four contestants will then have to place their hands on the case, with the last one touching the glass at the end of the challenge being crowned winner, and taking home all of the money.

The video is the fifth part in a series of videos that Donaldson began rolling out in November. Each of those clips featured a similar ‘last to…’ premise and produced a finalist, who will then go on to compete for the $1 million finale. Previous contests included Last To Fall (into a pool of water while balanced on a rope), Last To Stop Swinging, Last To Leave The Toilet, and Last To Stop Biking. Donaldson culled contestants from his fanbase, with eligibility open to anyone who purchased merch or followed him on Instagram. (The full rules to the sweepstakes are available here, and episodes two and four of the series appear to have been sponsored by browser extension Honey).

In addition to the gobstopping financial figures that Donaldson gives away on his massively successful YouTube channel, he also harnesses that propensity for stunts to give back to the planet. Donaldson and fellow creator Mark Rober are currently nearing the end of their #TeamTrees initiative, a fundraiser that is aiming to raise $20 million plant 20 million trees by year’s end in order to support reforestation efforts. The venture has raised $18.9 million to date.
