Rooster Teeth To Drop First Original IP Game In August, Unveils ‘Shark Week’ Collab

Rooster Teeth, the WarnerMedia-owned digital property for all things gaming, animation, and comedy, unveiled the release date for its latest video game at San Diego Comic Con (SDCC) — an uncooperative multiplayer shooter called Vicious Circle that marks Rooster Teeth’s first original IP game. Rooster Teeth likens Vicious Circle, which is set in a colorful-yet-gritty sci-fi universe, to Overwatch meets Mario Kart. It will be available on gaming platform Steam on Aug. 13, priced at $20. (Vicious Circle was first announced back in January, after Rooster Teeth formed a game publishing division in 2017).

At the same time, Rooster Teeth unveiled a number of premiering and returning shows at SDCC, including Arizona Circle, a sketch comedy series bowing on Rooster Teeth’s eponymous streaming service on Oct. 23, and Haunter, a comedy ghost-hunting series under Rooster Teeth’s Achievement Hunter banner that will return in Jan. 2020.

Rooster Teeth also has some linear TV programming planned for Aug. 3, with a special episode of its Immersion series — in which hosts test how gaming conventions, ideas, and abilities pan out in real life — for Shark Week

. That episode will air at 9 pm ET on the Discovery channel. And at 11:30 pm ET on the same day, season one of the anime gen:LOCK will premiere on Adult Swim.

At the same time, Rooster Teeth will announce a crossover between RWBY and the hit game Smite later this year.

Al told, Rooster Teeth has 45 million subscribers across all of its YouTube channels and 5 million monthly visitors to RoosterTeeth.com.
