YouTube star Jessie Paege, who publicly came out as bisexual last summer, is launching an eyeshadow palette in honor of LGBTQ+ Pride Month, which kicks off in June.
The Let It Rain-bow Tarte Pride Palette, created in conjunction with popular beauty brand Tarte, is launching today on Tarte.com and Sephora.com, and will arrive in Sephora stores nationwide on June 6. The brightly-hued palette features eight shades — each of which is infused with Amazonian clay — enabling wearers to create rainbow looks. Let It Rain-bow also comes with a travel-size mascara.
In honor of the collaboration, Tarte will be making a $25,000 donation to The Trevor Project — a crisis intervention and suicide prevention organization that helps members of the LGBTQ+ community who are aged 25 and under — regardless of how many palettes it sells.
“LGBTQ+ influencers were really a big part in helping me with my own confidence,” 20-year-old Paege told Refinery29 of her decision to come out on YouTube last year. (She donated the ad revenues from that video to The Trevor Project as well). “To be able to do that for other people was something I only dreamed of. I know hearing one person’s story can genuinely impact your own confidence within your identity.”
Paege counts 3 million followers across all social platforms, and previously partnered with ubiquitous mall retailer Hot Topic to bring a merch line comprising T-shirts and pins to the masses.
