Netflix CEO Reed Hastings Is Writing A Book About His Company

Reed Hastings is getting set to share the strategies that allowed him to accumulate a reported net worth of $3.9 billion. According to a report from CNN, The Netflix CEO is working with business writer Erin Meyer on a book that will reveal the secrets to the SVOD platform’s success.

The book will tell the story of Netflix, which Hastings co-founded in 1997 and took public in 2002. The company is know for several forward-thinking innovations, including its adoption of streaming media in 2007 and its introduction of original content in 2012.

Hastings is not the only tech exec to write a book detailing the path taken by the company he works for. Last year, YouTube Chief Business Officer Robert Kyncl authored Streampunks, which discusses the rise of the online video industry’s homegrown creative community.
