YouTube TV Gifts Subscribers Week Of Free Service To Apologize For World Cup Outage

YouTube TV is looking to make things right for viewers who experienced a glaring hourlong outage earlier this week during the semifinal World Cup match between England and Croatia.

According to Droid Life, the company sent out an email to subscribers yesterday with an apology and an offer of one week’s worth of free service. Given that YouTube TV is priced at $39.99 per month — though some users have been grandfathered into the service at its $35 launch price — the rebate amounts to roughly $10.

“Any recordings of the full game or anything else you were recording should now be available uninterrupted in the ‘Library’ tab,” the company wrote, per Droid Life

. “We love our TV as much as you do, and our goal is to make sure that you can access your favorite TV — wherever and however you want.”
