Having long produced free sketches and music videos on behalf of its illustrious client roster for YouTube, Shots Studios has inked its first-ever deal with subscription leader Netflix.
The company is currently working on a docuseries about Brazilian pop luminary and social media sensation Anitta that will premiere later this year, Variety reports. Titled Vai Anitta (which translates to Go Anitta), the show will follow the 25-year-old behind the scenes on tour and give an unvarnished glimpse into her personal life. It is being produced for Netflix by Shots co-founder and CEO John Shahidi.
Anitta (ne Larissa de Macedo Machado) has released three albums via Warner Music Brasil and performed at the opening ceremony of the 2016 Summer Olympics in Rio de Janeiro. She is also the most-followed female on social media in all of Brazil, with 29.4 million Instagram followers, 13.6 million Facebook fans, 9.2 million YouTube subscribers, and 7.3 million Twitter followers.
Anitta joined the Shots roster last July. The Los Angeles-based talent management company and production studio reps an elite list of former Vine stars who have since amassed huge followings on YouTube, including Rudy Mancuso, Lele Pons, Delaney Glazer, Alesso, and Hannah Stocking.
