YouTube beauty guru Laura Lee — who launched an eponymous makeup brand in 2016 — is making a splash in the accessories sphere.
The 29-year-old, who counts 4.9 million subscribers, has collaborated with sunglasses startup Diff Eyewear on a limited edition collection. An aviator frame, dubbed Peachy, launched on June 28 in three shades: rose gold, black, and gunmetal. Each pair is priced at $85 — and consumers receive a free Tarte lipstick with every purchase. While the rose gold option sold out two hours after the line’s launch, according to Lee, all styles are currently in stock.
Los Angeles-based Diff is a social media-savvy ecommerce brand (with upwards of 550,000 Instagram followers) that launched four years ago, and has previously collaborated with the likes of Khloe Kardashian and Demi Lovato. The company also touts a charitable tie-in: for every pair of sunglasses sold, it donates a pair of reading glasses to someone in need — to the tune of 200,000 donated pairs to date.
In addition to Diff, Lee has collaborated on products with indie beauty brands Morphe and Colourpop. She is repped by Christina Jones at Digital Brand Architects.
