As the VidCon madness subsides, RTX Austin is fast approaching — and the Rooster Teeth-run convention has unveiled this year’s headliners.
This year’s event will feature appearances by YouTube gaming vet Boogie2988; the Smosh Games crew; cosplay artist and RWBY voice actress Jessica Nigri; Drawfee, who will host an interactive comedy drawing series; voice actor Troy Baker; and pro Overwatch team the Houston Outlaws. In addition to the above guests, Rooster Teeth will also host its third annual Animation Festival during RTX, with screenings and panels featuring Titmouse, Mondo Media, Studio Yotta, Mashed, and Machinima.
And after launching its first-ever pop-up shop in Los Angeles earlier this month, Rooster Teeth is bringing a new activation called ‘Coop’ to RTX — an excluisve storefront where guests can shop merch designed by Griffon Ramsey, Todd Francis, Issac Hastings, Weedboner, RJ Palmer, and noted Rooster Teeth brands like Achievement Hunter, Funhaus, and Sugar Pine 7
.Other events scheduled for RTX Austin include: a comedy gaming live show dubbed Let’s Play Live; The Rave dance party hosted by ScrewAttack; a movie screening hosted by Achievement Hunter called Theater Mode; First Night, which will feature season premiere screens of new Rooster Teeth shows; the launch of a student-made 80s-inspired video game called Fury Strike in collaboration with Full Sail University; a happy hour with the cast of Always Open; a A Kinda Funny Comedy Night, which will feature stand-up sets by Nick Scarpino and Geoff Ramsey; and a screening of Rooster Teeth’s upcoming horror comedy Blood Fest.
Tickets for RTX Austin, which will be held from August 3 to 5, are available here.
