YouTube Red unveiled today the teaser trailer for action thriller Impulse, which it first announced last June.
The ten hourlong episodes, which will bow on Red this summer, follow an isolated 16-year-old girl — played by Maddie Hasson — who discovers that she has the ability to teleport after a traumatic encounter with a classmate, making her a focus of people who want to control her. The pilot was helmed by Bourne Identity and Mr. And Mrs. Smith director Doug Liman, and the show was produced by Universal Cable Productions
— the studio behind Mr. Robot, Difficult People, Monk, and Battlestar Galactica.Exclusive footage from the show will debut at sci-fi and comic book convention WonderCon on Saturday, where executive producers Liman and Gene Klein will participate in a panel discussion alongside showrunner Lauren LeFranc and co-stars Hasson, Missi Pyle, and Daniel Maslany.
