Rooster Teeth Shares First Teaser For Upcoming Midnight Movie ‘Blood Fest’

Rooster Teeth fans can now get a taste of the Blood Fest to come. The popular digital media company has shared a teaser for its next feature film, a horror-comedy that will premiere in March at the SXSW film festival.

Blood Fest, which Rooster Teeth announced last year, will take place at a horror movie film festival, where a group of attendees will band together to fend off murderous bad-guys with chainsaws. Its the sort of setup that makes for a great, self-aware, pulpy horror movie, and that’s exactly how Rooster Teeth is selling its new flick. Blood Fest will premiere as part of “Midnighters

” lineup at SXSW, alongside all sorts of thrilling late-night fare.

At some point, Blood Fest will head online, where it will be available to those who subscribe to the premium Rooster Teeth FIRST tier, which starts at $2.99 per month. A Rooster Teeth representative told Tubefilter that the company may consider other distribution options beyond FIRST.

SXSW will take place between March 9-18 in Rooster Teeth’s hometown of Austin. The festival’s schedule can be found here.
