ATTN, which is best known for the short, newsworthy clips it shares with its 5.5 million followers on Facebook, has teamed up with Paramount Television for America Versus, a linear program that will compare America’s way of life to the rest of the world.
America Versus will be hosted by Nev Schulman, an ATTN writer who is best known for his role on the hit MTV series Catfish. Here, his explorations of the cultural differences between various countries will be based off a series of web videos ATTN has shared over the past two years. The TV version of America Versus will be ATTN’s latest attempt to connect to the traditional media world. Last year, it teamed up with ABC News to create a series of newsy clips that were distributed on both companies’ respective social channels. Both the distribution strategy for America Versus and its planned premiere date have not yet been shared. Paramount Television’s library also includes hit shows like Netflix’s 13 Reasons Why.
