Shira Lazar, Bart Baker Offer Latest ‘What’s Trending’ List Of Top Viral Videos Of The Year

Each year, What’s Trending host Shira Lazar and her partner Bart Baker unveil and discuss the top viral videos of the past 12 months, with data from Tubular Labs serving as their guide. The 2017 edition of that annual tradition is now live, and it is a look back at some of the recent clips that most captivated viewers across YouTube, Facebook, and other video platforms.

Lazar and Baker’s breakdown is separated across ten categories. The “Most Watched Facebook Video,” for example, came from People Are Awesome, the brand known for its pulse-pounding compilations of incredible stunts. Meanwhile, the adorable short film In A Heartbeat

(which Lazar and Baker are watching above), snagged the title “Animated Video Of The Year.” Ultimately, Lazar and Baker reveal the most-viewed video of the year. This year, according to Tubular, that achievement belongs to a Latin music video that was inescapable throughout 2017.
