BuzzFeed Unsolved: Supernatural, a series that brings together a conspiracy theorist and a skeptic to find the truth behind unsolved mysteries, just debuted its season three trailer. Take a watch here:
Hosts Ryan Bergara and Shane Madej will return for 10 episodes that will explore mysteries like Roswell’s supposed UFO landing and the Pennhurst Asylum, a “haunted” Pennsylvania hospital complex. For the first time, Bergara and Madej will travel internationally for the show with a visit to the London Tombs.
“This season is mainly different in that we were able to go international, which was a fun opportunity to learn and explore another country’s history,” said Bergara. A conspiracy believer, Bergara also described the fear inherent in filming a series the takes place in supposedly haunted venues.
“I definitely had a moment where I thought I was going to pass out during filming,” he said. “It’s later in the season, but it has to be one of the scariest situations I’ve ever had to endure.”
The BuzzFeed Unsolved franchise spans two series starring Bergara and Madej, Supernatural and BuzzFeed Unsolved: True Crime. Together, the shows boast over 200 million total views.
The day before the Supernatural season three debut, BuzzFeed will hold a haunted, interactive exhibition at Industria’s Studio 10 in Manhattan’s West Village. The event will feature themes from the upcoming season and involve social media.
Both Bergara and Madej are video producers at BuzzFeed Motion Pictures.
