Twitch has tapped former Maker Studios executive Kendra Johnson as general manager of global content development and emerging markets.
In her new role, Johnson will spearhead global content acquisition efforts — and oversee all regional content development teams — while driving Twitch’s business in the critical Latin American and Asia Pacific markets. “My goal is to ensure creators and viewers around the world are fully versed in both the depth of our offerings and the strength of our community,” she said in a statement.

, per Variety — Twitch’s VP of global partnerships.Johnson counts 17 years of experience in the entertainment industry — most recently as the head of distribution and strategic partnerships at Maker Studios. Prior to that, she served as the VP of business strategy, planning, and development at ABC Family (which has since been renamed Freeform). She began her career in the finance department at Miramax Films after serving as an analyst at Goldman Sachs.
