In June, top pop artist Katy Perry embarked on an unconventional promotional event for her latest album, Witness: a four-day, around-the-clock live stream dubbed Witness World Wide that ultimately garnered 50 million views across the globe.
And now, Perry is consolidating all of the buzzy happenings from the stream — including conversations with Anna Kendrick, Sia, RuPaul, and more — into a feature-length documentary called Will You Be My Witness?. The behind-the-scenes special will also cover how the project came to be and will see Perry reflecting on the aftermath of the surprise stream, Billboard reports. It bows on subscription service YouTube Red
— priced at $9.99 per month — on Oct. 4.Perry, who is also set to appear on YouTube’s ad supported original series Best.Cover.Ever., isn’t the only pop singer to launch a behind-the-scenes doc on YouTube. Demi Lovato, whose new album Tell Me You Love Me releases tomorrow, will premiere an ad-supported YouTube documentary about her career called Simply Complicated on Oct. 17.
