New Production Company Bold Soul Studios Appeals To Young Adult Viewers On Emerging Platforms

A pair of experienced partners are launching a production company that will roll out a wide range of projects. Digital media vet Corey Moss and writer Brad T. Gottfred are the co-founders of Bold Soul Studios, which will work on both scripted and unscripted programs.

Bold Soul’s lineup will play to the strength of its two leaders. Gottfred has written several novels for YA audiences, and Bold Soul’s scripted content is aimed squarely at that audience. One of Gottfred and Moss’ first collaborations is the teen drama The Boonies, which features Calum Worthy and social star Amymarie Gaertner among its cast and recently premiered via Go90.

Moss, on the other hand, has more than a decade of digital media experience to his name. During his stint at Hearst Digital Studios, his list of credits included several Go90 shows, including sports docuseries and Streamy Award nominee QB1: Beyond The Lights. At Bold Soul, the unscripted lineup will include more sports content thanks to a pact with the NFL Players’ Association’s ACE Content studio. Moss and Gottfred will also bring original shows to Ranker‘s busy Facebook page.

“There’s never been a more exciting time to be bold in the content business,” Moss told The Hollywood Reporter. “Our unique backgrounds position us to bring a dynamic value to new video opportunities, from features to micro- series and everything in between.”

Before joining Hearst, Moss worked at Principato-Young Entertainment. Gottfred’s previous work includes the series Sex and Love Conspire to Destroy the World!, which premiered on MyDamnChannel in 2013.
