Rooster Teeth Adds Seychelle Gabriel, Zachary Levi, Chris Doubek To ‘Blood Fest’ Cast

Rooster Teeth has announced the addition of several cast members to its third feature film, horror comedy Blood Fest — which the Austin-based production company unveiled earlier this week.

Seychelle Gabriel (The Last Airbender) will play the female lead in the film, which is about a horror movie festival creator with a diabolical agenda. Also appearing in Blood Fest are: Zachary Levi (Chuck), who will play himself in a cameo; Chris Doubek (Boyhood); and newcomer Rebecca Wagner. The lead male role in the film, Robbie Kay (Heroes: Reborn), will play Gabriel’s best friend — the two of whom are pulled into the adventure of a lifetime alongside the hapless Jacob Batalon (pictured below), of Spider Man: Homecoming fame.

“I’ve been a fan of Seychelle Gabriel for years,” said Blood Fest writer and director Owen Egerton. “She brings this cool strength and humor to her character. Seychelle is not playing a damsel in distress. She’s playing a damsel ready to pick up a machete and kick some ass.”

Other previously announced cast members include Rooster Teeth’s Barbara Dunkelman (RWBY), Nick Rutherford (SNL), and Tate Donovan (The Man In The High Castle).

A release date and distribution details for Blood Fest have not yet been announced, but the film will appear on FIRST, Rooster Teeth’s $5 monthly SVOD service, the company said.
