Bonnie Pan, Formerly Of Maker Studios, Endemol, And Yahoo, Lands At AwesomenessTV

A well-traveled online video exec has found a new position. Bonnie Pan, who has spent time in prominent positions at Yahoo, Maker Studios, and Endemol Beyond, has been hired as the new Head of Network at AwesomenessTV.

In a newly created role, Pan — who has held content-related positions at all of the companies she has worked for over the past four years — will oversee strategy and programming for AwesomenessTV on YouTube, social media, and other owned-and-operated platforms. A press release indicates that Pan’s role will extend to the Awesomeness News venture announced during the most recent Newfronts. AweomenessTV’s DreamworksTV and Awestruck ventures will continue to be headed by Birk Rawlings and Carrie Franklin, respectively, who will work alongside the newly-hired exec.

Pan’s most recent role came at Endemol, where she served as the President of the Endemol Beyond USA digital network

. Before that, she spent about a year and a half at Maker Studios, which she joined after leaving Yahoo. When Endemol Beyond shut down in June 2017, Pan became a free agent once again, and in joining AwesomenessTV, she serves as one of the first big hires for Jordan Levin, who was announced as the company’s CEO in May 2017.

“Having been a fan of AwesomenessTV for many years, I’m thrilled to join the team under Jordan’s leadership,” said Pan in a press release. “The insatiable appetite of teens to consume content and experience entertainment across platforms is undeniable. AwesomnessTV has embraced the ‘content-meets-technology’ storytelling formula and captured a passionate audience. I’m looking forward to to continuing to grow the network across the platforms of today and those we have yet to imagine.”

Specific projects that Pan has worked on include the holiday special The Keys of Christmas and the competition series Legends of Gaming.
