Country Crooner Keith Urban Joins YouTube Original Series ‘Best.Cover.Ever.’

Keith Urban has joined the roster of bold-faced artists who will see their songs performed on Best.Cover.Ever. — an ad-supported original series premiering exclusively on YouTube this fall.

Urban, a four-time Grammy winner, joins previously announced participants including Katy Perry, Demi Lovato, the Backstreet Boys, Charlie Puth, Flo Rida, Nicky Jam, and Jason Derulo. More guest stars will be announced in coming weeks for the series, which is hosted by Ludacris and produced by Ryan Seacrest Productions and Endemol Shine North America. The series will air on the Best.Cover.Ever. YouTube channel.

Best.Cover.Ever. will feature aspiring musicians from across the globe competing to create the best cover versions of popular songs. One winner in every episode will get the opportunity to perform a duet with the song’s original artist, and the series will document that performance planning process.

Submissions are now open, and Urban fans are invited to upload their covers of his hit single Somewhere In My Car to YouTube using the hashtag #BestCoverEver in the title.

“The internet is the ultimate vehicle for creative discovery,” Urban said in a statement. “It connects people, lets their talents be heard and sometimes produces stars. I’m really looking forward to seeing what happens — to hearing how people interpret my songs — and, fingers crossed, to finding a killer duet partner.”
