Wil Wheaton, Judd Nelson, MatPat, Tay Zonday Among Voices In Machinima’s Next ‘Transformers’ Show

Last year, digital media company Machinima and toy maker Hasbro teamed up for Transformers: Combiner Wars, which delivered big numbers on Go90. Now, the second part of what those companies are billing as the “Prime Wars trilogy” is on its way, and it features some prime additions to its voice cast. An animated series called Titans Return is set to arrive on Go90 in November, and its voice cast will feature a combination of 80s and 90s TV notables, YouTube stars, and other performers.

As per usual, Titans Return will feature tussles between the benevolent Autobots and the wretched Decepticons, who have repeatedly done battle since first locking horns as part of a 1984 toy line. Despite their longevity, the Transformers remain popular. According to Machinima, the first third of Prime Wars has received 125 million views.

The actor receiving top billing in a Machinima press release is Peter Cullen

, who first voiced Autobots chief Optimus Prime in the original Transformers animated series, will reprise his role in Titans Return. He’ll be joined by the likes of Judd Nelson (The Breakfast Club), Wil Wheaton and Michael Dorn (known for their roles in Star Trek: The Next Generation), Jason David Frank (the original green Power Ranger), and prolific voice actor Nolan North.

A number of new media creators will also lend their voices to Titans Return. Lana McKissack and DashieGames were among the stars of Combiner Wars, and they will return alongside Game Theory host Matthew Patrick, Tay Zonday, and others.

An exact release date for Titans Return has not yet been announced, but look for it in November. If you’re a true Transformers superfan, you can also await the third chapter of Prime Wars, which will premiere sometime after Titans Return.
