If your subscription box is filled with channels from YouTube’s gaming community, there’s a good chance you’ve spent the past week watching armies of eclectic sizes, shapes, and species as they smash into one another. I’m talking about Ultimate Epic Battle Simulator, which has reportedly picked up more than 11 million views on YouTube in the first three days after its launch.
Ultimate Epic Battle Simulator seeks to answer once and for all any questions about how individual factions, both real and fictitious, would fare against one another on the field of battle. The selection of warriors ranges from knights to zombies to giant turtles to Chuck Norris, with variable army sizes making for interesting battles between uneven forces.
YouTubers love it. Many of the 11 million views in question came from top gaming star Jacksepticeye, who posted videos of the game shortly after its April 12th debut on the Steam Early Access store.
The 11 million view figure comes from Polygon, which cited data from Steam Spy. Since April 15th, top YouTubers like iBallisticSquid and Slogoman have simulated their own ultimate epic battles, so the game’s view count has undoubtedly risen in recent days.
