Vice, New Form, Studio71 Among Presenters At MIPTV’s Digital Fronts Showcase

Between April 3rd and 6th, 2017, a blend of producers, distributors, brands, and other attendees will flock to Cannes, France for the annual MIPTV Media Market. As in recent years, this year’s event will feature a handful of digital media companies, which will present upcoming programs to potential buyers.

AwesomenessTV, New Form, Studio71 and Vice Media will all return to Cannes after making presentations at previous iterations of MIPTV. Several of those companies have undergone major changes over the past year. Vice, for example, has expanded its operation to encompass scripted shows, while Studio71 recently hired an experienced film industry exec to oversee its own moves in the scripted space.

Those returning presenters will be joined by two new ones. Jukin Media will discuss the latest shows it is building out of its library of user-generated clips, and Zoomin Studios

will have its first MIPTV address as well.

MIPTV’s digital showcase will take place as part of the event’s busy slate, which will span four days of conferences, screenings, pitchers, and presentations. Keynote speakers will include Amazon’s Roy Price and David Beebe, who recently left his post at the Marriott Content Studio. Another intriguing event is the MIPTV Digital Short Form Series Pitch, where six finalist will vie for the support of a jury that includes representatives from Fullscreen and Vimeo.

For more information about the MIPTV slate, check out the event’s program — or, as they say in the local tongue, le programme.
