Live.me is celebrating its one-year anniversary next month with an invite-only birthday party in Los Angeles. Ahead of the April 29 fête, however, the nascent livestreaming app will host a slew of platform-wide contests and promotions.
Live.me broadcasters, for instance, will have the opportunity to win tickets to the birthday party via an in-app contest dubbed the Beloved Broadcaster Battle. And for those who can’t attend in person, the party will be livestreamed from the official Live.me account. In addition to 10 awards recognizing the accomplishments of top Live.me creators, the event will also feature a live performance by Ocean Park Standoff — a musical trio comprising Samantha Ronson
, Pete Nappi, and Ethan Thompson.Check out a blog post with additional details right here.
Live.me is owned by Chinese Internet giant Cheetah Mobile and, as of last fall, claimed to be the highest grossing livestreaming app in the U.S., with more than $1 million in payouts to creators. The platform, which has attracted top-tier influencers like Roman Atwood, also released several updates in January, including language translation tools and a VIP membership option.
