Mario Lopez’s YouTube channel, first announced back in June, is now live.
Created alongside Awestruck, a division of AwesomenessTV that develops content targeting millennial moms, Lopez’s channel, called The Lopez Family, will feature his wife, Courtney, and their two children, six-year-old Gia and three-year-old Dominic. In an introductory vlog (below), Lopez says that the channel will focus on five F’s: family, faith, fitness, food, and fun.
Lopez joins a growing list of mainstream celebrities who have launched YouTube channels in recent months. Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson, for instance, launched a YouTube channel alongside the Studio71 multi-channel network last July, whereas, most recently, former America’s Got Talent host Nick Cannon unveiled his own vlog channel last week, where he has posted clips about everything from President Donald Trump to his feelings about fast food. Both Johnson and Cannon also have projects in the works for YouTube’s subscription service, YouTube Red.
Other creators within the Awestruck network include Elizabeth Grier, Molly Sims, GloZell Green, and Kandee Johnson. The network is set to release its first original series, a romance novel adaptation called Confess, via go90 on April 4.
