Jonah Green has landed a starring role in a digital comedy. The YouTube vlogger is the leading man in Worst Birthday Ever, a CW Seed show rolls through a number of awkward situations that all take place on its protagonist’s special day.
Worst Birthday Ever, which was created by Greg Porper, is available through CW Seed, the digital hub launched by The CW in 2013. Across seven short episodes, Green’s character Max is beset by uncomfortable scenarios, many of which involve his off-color and filter-free dad. In the premiere, for example, Max learns a little too much about his parents’ sex life.
Green, who is perhaps best known for his membership in the YouTuber group SDK
, has appeared in several notable projects. He had a supporting role in Mr. Student Body President on Go90 and created a pilot for New Form Digital’s most recent incubator series. In a video, he describes his Worst Birthday Ever role as some of the most significant work he’s done to date. “It is such a funny show, it’s so good,” he said. “I can’t even begin to express how amazing the experience of being on set was.”Green is managed by Big Frame.
