Collab Signs 13-Year-Old Singer-Influencer Johnny Orlando

Digital talent network and entertainment studio Collab has announced its latest signing: 13-year-old Canadian influencer and recording artist Johnny Orlando. Orlando, who rose to fame on YouTube covering songs by popular artists, now counts 7 million fans across all of his social platforms.

Collab said it will work with Orlando to continue to grow his fan base, forge more monetization opportunities, produce music videos for his channel, facilitate brand partnerships, develop original shows, and represent Orlando in terms of rights management.

Orlando today counts 3.8 million followers on musical.ly, 2.2 million Instagram followers, and 1.2 million YouTube subscribers. His covers of songs by Shawn Mendes (24 million views), Taylor Swift (19 million views), and Iggy Azalea (16 million views) have catapulted him to international renown. Most recently, Orlando released an original single titled Day And Night with Dance Moms star Mackenzie Ziegler (below).

In addition to his music career, Orlando has toured with both MAGCON and Boys Of Summer

— live shows featuring heartthrob influencers. He is also pursuing acting, having starred in Super Why!, an animated TV series on PBS Kids, as well as the forthcoming feature film Bunyan And Babe with John Goodman and Kelsey Grammar, slated to drop next year.

“It is awesome to work with a group of professionals who not only help monetize my videos but are also invested in helping me grow and develop as a recording artist,” Orlando said in a statement.

Collab initially started working with some of the top Vine influencers in the social sphere, though it has since expanded amid the looming uncertainty of that platform. It has recently signed YouTube horror VR channel BlackboxTV as well as Streamys host King Bach. Collab also recently signed Orlando’s sister, Lauren, in addition to YouNow stars Weston Koury and Blake Gray, as well as musical.ly stars Savannah Soutas and Amelia Gething.
