Jukin Media’s FailArmy Channel To Debut Half-Hour Fail Compilation Series On MTV2

This Thanksgiving weekend, FailArmy, a popular YouTube channel with roughly 12 million subscribers that compiles clips of pranks, bloopers, and fails, is coming to linear television. The brand, which is owned by entertainment and viral licensing company Jukin Media, is slated to kick off a FailArmy Marathon on MTV2 this Friday from 12pm to 6pm ET, which will then continue on Saturday from 10am to 4pm ET.

And the marathon isn’t just a one-off. In coming weeks, the show will continue to air at regular intervals as a half-hour unscripted comedy featuring the best fail videos from the FailArmy universe, Mike Skogmo, Jukin’s VP of communications, told Tubefilter. The series is being produced by Jukin Media and Dick Clark Productions.

Jukin originally began shopping the FailArmy brand to international TV markets in 2014 alongside Dick Clark. Later that year, Fox ordered a series based on the FailArmy YouTube channel called World’s Funniest Fails. And last year, Jukin teamed up with the global branch of Dick Clark Productions to bring a new series titled Now That’s Funny! — an hour-long viral video clip show — to the U.K.

MTV2, whose focus is primarily unscripted programming, has worked with digital companies and creators in the past. Last year, for instance, YouTube star Timothy DeLaGhetto joined the cast of one of the network’s most popular original series, Guy Code.
