Arden Rose, Gabriel Conte, Meghan Rienks To Star In Go90’s ‘Mr. Student Body President’

First announced last September when New Form Digital inked a pact with Go90 to bring six digital series to the Verizon-owned platform, the cast and release date for Mr. Student Body President — a 10-episode satirical comedy series that’s jam-packed with social stars — are now here.

YouTuber Arden Rose has nabbed the lead in the series, which will premiere exclusively on Go90 on September 22. Other digital guest stars slated to appear include Viners Gabriel Conte and Jason Nash, as well as YouTubers Meghan Rienks, Alexa Losey, Grace Helbig, Mitchell Davis, Olan Rogers, and Jonah Green. The series stars Jeremy Shada as Tyler Prendergast, the student body president of Berenger High who rules with an iron fist. Rose will play his ‘chief of staff’, Hadley Pulito.

Mr. Student Body President was co-created, written, and directed by Ryan Hunter and Jack Ferry — who also directed Occupy Alice, a New Form Digital short starring Rose, as well as the web series Oscar’s Hotel For Fantasical Creators and Not Too Deep With Grace Helbig, a visual podcast. New Form Digital’s chief creative officer Kathleen Grace and SVP development and production Melissa Schneider served as executive producers.

Mr. Student Body President is the ideal representation of New Form’s mission: bringing together truly talented creators, actors and producers to create a narrative built for digital viewing by digital natives,” Schneider said in a statement, adding that the series will broach “politics with an edge not seen on traditional networks that will be sure to engage audiences.”

The pilot for Mr. Student Body President was initially developed back in 2014 as part of New Form Digital’s first Incubator Series — an exploration by the digital studio founded by Discovery Communications, Brian Grazer, and Ron Howard of video ideas outside of standard YouTube models.
