Trailer Arrives For New Form Digital’s ‘RePlay’ One Day Ahead Of Its Go90 Premiere

New Form Digital’s time-rewinding special is getting ready for its close-up. The digital studio whose founding partners include Ron Howard and Discovery Communications has released a trailer for RePlay one day prior to the show’s premiere on mobile video platform Go90.

RePlay will star Lyndsy Fonseca, whose credits include the daughter in How I Met Your Mother, as a DJ named Allison who experiences deja vu on the night she celebrates her 25th birthday. After the party goes awry, Allison is sent back in time to experience the day over and over “until she can get [it] right.” Groundhog Day fans who read that plot description may feel some deja vu of their own, and based on RePlay’s trailer, that feeling is merited. There are a lot of similarities between New Form’s upcoming project and the 1993 Bill Murray comedy.

Many of New Form’s productions feature YouTube stars on both sides of the camera, and RePlay is no different. Mamrie Hart, who makes videos on her You Deserve A Drink channel, has a role in the series. Behind the scenes, RePlay has further ties to the online video community. Its co-creator, Kathleen Grace, used to be the head of creative development at YouTube Space LA before joining New Form as its Chief Content Officer.

RePlay is one of six series New Form will release through Go90 as part of a September 2015 deal between the two companies. The first series to premiere from that partnership was The Fourth Door, which arrived a few days before Halloween.

RePlay will officially arrive on Go90 on April 20th. Verizon’s mobile video app is available from both the App Store and Google Play.
