Endemol’s ‘Legends Of Gaming’ Returns With New Players, 360-Degree Videos

Endemol Shine Beyond has brought back its reality competition series set in the world of video games, and it has added some new twists along the way. The multi-channel network has premiered season two of Legends of Gaming on its Smasher channel, with a new lineup of gamers and a few 360-degree videos freshening the format.

In Legends of Gaming, top personalities from the YouTube community battle one another in a series of video game-related challenges. The program’s second season is hosted by Tom Cassell, the British YouTube star known online as Syndicate, and features a cast that blends previous Legends of Gaming contestants with new entrants. TmarTn and Terroriser, who participated in the show’s previous season, have returned. They’ll be joined by Reckless Tortuga, Gassy Mexican, Moo Snuckel, Misses Mae, mcsportzhawk, and TheZombiUnicorn. Between their respective channels, the eight competitors in Legends of Gaming season two have more than 11 million subscribers.

In order to spice things up even further, Smasher introduced Legends of Gaming’s season two cast with a pair of 360-degree videos. In each one, Syndicate joins four contestants at YouTube Space LA

and invites them to participate in their first gaming challenge. Here’s one of the two videos, which showcases a few rousing games of Rocket League:

“The second season of ‘Legends of Gaming’ is packed with many new exciting elements—a brand new six-round tournament format, some of the hottest gamers in the nation and the first-ever ‘Legends’ virtual reality experience,” said Endemol Shine Beyond USA President Bonnie Pan in a press release. “And we are thrilled to have Pizza Hut back with us for a second season as our lead brand partner and Syndicate has proven to be the perfect choice as our new host and resident jokester.”

Legends of Gaming originated in the UK. That version of the show can be seen on its official YouTube channel, which has counted nearly 70 million views to date.
