A month after unveiling the advisory board tapped to conceive programming for business-minded attendees, VidCon has unveiled 22 of the seminars that will comprise the Industry Track at its 7th annual gathering this June in Anaheim, Calif.
Described as master classes taught by top industry professionals, the seminars will cover how to build audiences and make money on Snapchat, Periscope, and Instagram; explore the inner-workings of YouTube and Facebook; and share hands-on lessons from brand experts at eBay, National Geographic, Discovery Communications, Twitter, and more, VidCon said.
“In addition, we’re going to make the course materials from all 22 seminars available to every Industry Track attendee immediately after the show,” said the editorial director of VidCon’s Industry Track, Jim Louderback, in a statement. “So even if you can’t attend every session, you’ll have in-hand much of what you’ll need to implement these strategies and tactics.”
Participating speakers will include Federal Trade Commission
(FTC) regional director Thomas Dahdouh in a session entitled Don’t Get Busted — How To Stay On The Right Side Of The Endorsement And Native Advertising Laws; Good Amplified CEO Amber Lawson will speak to Building Effective Social Good Campaigns; and Epic Signal founder Brendan Gahan will present The Confessional — Navigating The Creative Friction Between Brands and Creators. The full list of seminars is available here, while additional keynotes, fireside chats and product demos that will be a part of the Industry Track will be announced later this spring, VidCon said. Earlier this month, VidCon also began announcing the hundreds of featured creators who will be in attendance at this year’s event. Tickets for the Industry Track, as well as the Creator Track, which is aimed at aspiring content creators, and the Community Track, for fans, are available at vidcon.com/registration.
