Awesomeness Films Plans Thriller ‘You Get Me’ Starring Bella Thorne

In general, the movies produced by Awesomeness Films have tended to feature online video stars in their lead roles. The studio’s latest addition to its slate, however, does not include any digital influencers on its top line — at least not yet. The film is titled You Get Me, and it will star Bella Thorne and Halston Sage.

By the time You Get Me arrives, Thorne and Sage will both be making their second appearances in Awesomeness Films productions. Thorne plays one of the leads in the coming-of-age story Shovel Buddies, while Sage appears in the film Before I Fall. In You Get Me, the two actresses will play a pair of women competing of the same man. Their “competition” will heat up when they find themselves at the same school. The film’s setup will resonate well with Awesomeness Films’ target audience, which consists primarily of tweens and teens.

“We are thrilled to be working with Bella and Halston again,” said Awesomeness Films president Matt Kaplan, who will produce the film alongside Brian Robbins. “They are both incredibly talented actors and we can’t wait to bring this fresh thriller to audiences worldwide.”
